Among Floridas fastest growing regions, the Punta Gorda area has spawned a rapid expansion of unique shops and restaurants that continues to define the areas reputation for charm. Although you're far more likely to see sandals and shorts than designer garb, youll find wonderful activities like the Texas Rangers spring training, bingo, fishing, and golf are top priorities for visitors when they're not sailing in Charlotte Harbor. Or perhaps youll find yourself enjoying the white-sand beach in nearby Englewood. There youll find the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center with guided walks along almost four miles of nature trails through southwest Florida's ecosystems. (Its free of charge during November through April.) A Swamp Buggy Eco-tour is also fun for the adventuresome visitor who would like to explore the dark waters of Telegraph Cypress Swamp. The Lemon Bay Park and Environmental Center is relatively new and is home to nature displays, a butterfly garden, nature trails and picnic sites overlooking the bay. Among our other activities
